Description:
The Prazi SD500 Superturn 10"x20" Universal High Precision Geared Head German made Lathe is ergonomically designed, safe, easy to service, very functional and improves the use of lathe controls with minimal operator effort. This extremely rugged lathe design has a strong headstock with highly rigid precision ground main spindle that turns on large diameter adjustable taper roller bearings. Vibration free headstock uses short shafts and wide body precision ground gears. The 1HP main motor uses a V-belt system to drive the spindle for maximum power transmission. Smooth, quiet running spindle is accurate to .0002" with six spindle speeds consisting of 75-150-300-480-960-1900 RPM (optional speeds available)
The SD500 robustly built bed is fully ribbed with precision ground V-guide way bed for improved cutting performance, true machine accuracies, and long lasting machine life. The automatic power longitudinal feed and power cross feed feature facilitates threading, turing, facing, parting, and milling operations.
By adding the Optional Prazi BF600 MT2 Spindle Belt Drive Powermill Attachment, which easily mounts to the SD500 lathe, you immediately create the most versatil heavy-duty geared head precision lathe mill combination for benchtop machining and manufacturing.
This Prazi lathe is ideal for machine shops, with production or prototype work, dedicated hobbyists, maintenance, repair, automobile, service, electrical, optical, locksmith shops, plus mold makers, engineers, mechanics, instructors, all laboratory environments, schools, technical and vocational centers.
A huge assortment of industrial machine shop grade accessories is available to complement various turning, milling, drilling, boring, and facing operations on the Prazi 10"x20" Precision Lathe. (220 volt 1 phase electrics available on the SD500). A metric SD500 Lathe version is available upon request.
